Happy Thanksgiving! I’m busy busy busy here as I’m cooking my meal. And guess what!? I have 3 turkeys cooking away in the ovens. Yes 3! I bought 2 at 15 pounds each and then my son came home from work with a 19 pound turkey. And being that they were once all frozen I can’t refreeze them. But, I’m excited that we will have plenty leftovers! With the men in my life it will all go.

Now onto the topic of this blog hop. Don’t you just LOVE the Finnley kit! I have to say it is a favorite of mine. Such a pretty color combo and who can can say no to that deer!? Not me! I had a project all ready to go for the printer using that majestic deer and ……….. it just would not print right. Boo Hoo! So I have a number of sheets sent over to Staples for printing. And I can share those projects with  you in December. I just love Christmas and all the fun crafts you can create as gifts! But, lets get back to the layout I created instead for this using this kit. Which you know Glitz is giving away a Digital kit AND a Paper kit! W00T W00T so do not forget to leave your comment here and each of the other blogs to have your chance to win! Make sure you put what you would like. Now if you were me, I’d take the digital as  you can print off all your products over and over again!

You & Me

GZyouandMe

“Fall is my favorite season and I just love to take walks in the crisp air with the bright orange, red, and yellows on the trees. Last fall me and my daughter took a walk at the local Metropark and I captured this photograph of her. The colors that are in the Hello Friend kit were just perfect for this photograph! What I love about digital scrapbooking is you can blend the photograph, like I did here, so you can also see the patterns of the background paper to show through. I think the paper that has the painted marks was just what I was looking for to add just the right touch!”

Yep!

Yep!

“For years I never took any photographs of myself. One reason, is I just did not like the way I looked. My husband has always told me how beautiful he thinks I am. I never considered my looks too much. Hardly ever took my photograph. A number of years ago I lost an on-line friend. She made a point of taking photographs of herself and her children all the time. It hit me after she was gone. What do I have for my children if I was not here any longer myself? How would they remember me. Do I want my daughters to believe me when I tell them that I think they are beautiful!! So yes, scrapbooking has helped me have more confidence in myself and my looks too. I make a point of doing selfies and then journaling what I’m feeling at that time. After all I want my children to remember who I was. Above being their mother I am a wife to my best friend, a daughter, a sister, have myself girlfriends. And I’m at that point in my life when my children are all growing up and I am also their friend. They don’t always see me as just their mother. And that feels so wonderful! Yes, with age comes confidence in yourself and at time when I look in the mirror I also feel beautiful!”
